Preparation
A peel is a laboratory made product that contains one or more exfoliating biochemical acids, formulated in a certain concentration and level of acidity. It is used in medicalaesthetic treatments and comes in the form of a liquid, gel or mask. When applied to the skin, it manages to perform a controlled aggression, accelerating the desquamation of the most superficial cells of the skin, stimulating the natural process of skin regeneration. This fact reactivates the division of the cells of the basal layer of the epidermis that continue their ascent to the stratum corneum. Biochemical peels thus promote controlled cell regeneration, through which fibroblasts and other skin attachments increase their activity, returning the skin to its maximum splendor.
Melanosomes are released into the extracellular space from melanocyte processes and are absorbed by keratinocytes.
Prior to the treatment, after a deep cleaning of the skin, and eliminating any remaining makeup or impurities, a degreaser is applied with the help of a gauze and then a pH regulator. In this way it is possible to unify the pH of the skin of the entire area to be treated so that the peeling effect is much more uniform.
